Mom Who Pressured Son to Stroll Alongside Car: ‘I Was Previously Late for Operate’

A Utah mom, who allegedly pressured her son to walk alongside a moving auto she was driving following he had missed his faculty bus, has been billed with kid abuse and reckless driving, ABC Reports has realized.

Stacie Johnson, 37,  reportedly was indignant that her nine-yr-old son had missed the bus to school a single too many times, and was once more refusing to stroll.  But what Johnson may have thought was instructing her son a lesson, turned into criminal costs Monday, eleven times following she was arrested in the incident.

“He had missed the bus frequently … he refused to go to university,” Johnson, who mentioned she is a graduate university student with an internship, wrote in an electronic mail to ABC Reports. “The purpose I did not wander with Toronto Maple Leafs Jerseys him is that I was previously late for function.”

Police responded to a phone on Jan. 26 reporting that a boy was staying pulled alongside a shifting auto by his belt, which was being held by the female driver, as it headed down a Woods Cross neighborhood street.

Woods Cross Police Chief Greg Butler advised ABC Reports that Johnson was driving at a sluggish sufficient pace that the boy could keep rate with the vehicle, but that he could have been hit by traffic driving in the reverse route.

Police turned the situation more than to the Davis County District Lawyer’s workplace and Johnson was billed Monday with little one abuse, a class A misdemeanor, and a course B misdemeanor of reckless driving.
